December, 2006 Way too many christmas partiesOK I admit I love a good party as much as the next person, but this year the work Christmas party scene just started to get that little bit too much, well as far as my head was concerned. I mean three Christmas parties was and is just about as much as I can handle in the one month, especially if you attend them the way i did :-) What do they say about having too much of a good thing? But i don't see the point of attending a party and not having a good time, and that, when surrounded by IT professionals you don't really know means a little (or a lot) of social lubrication. The first two where not too bad, just the usual finger food and stuff. But the last one, held by the "social club" in flagstaff gardens kinda did it for me. I guess it all went south when I was hit in the face with a ball from the lads who decided to orient their cricket match and bat directly into the crowd not 10 metres away. It just got more and more intoxicated from then on and ended sleazily in a local bar.
